Working at foodworks provided me with a unique experience, allowing me to feel what its like to be on the other side of the counter for the first time. Valuable expereinces included, learning to interact with customers in the most polite and appropriate manner possible, whilst also having to deal with occasional unsatisfied and/or angry buyers, learning how to organise stock properly and display in a presentable manner, and the most challenging part of the job, not only memorizing off by heart all the names of cigarettes (in which were previously completly unheard of) but also retrieving them quickly and without mistake providing maximum satisfaction to patrons.

Secondary Education Completed
2011 - 2015
I have recently completed my high school level of education and have moved on to tertiary study within the profession of mainly Psychology with free electives in the IT profession.
Griffith University, Mount Gravatt Campus
2016 - Present
I am currently undergoing my Bachelors degree in Psychological Science, with a free elective in IT fundementals. I am thoroughly enjoying both degrees of professions in which, surprisingly overlap one another across both professions providing me with a great advantage. An example of this can be seen within my IT course, in which communication skills is looked upon as the most important skill for employment, but only go over the general basics of successful communication without going to into great depth of application and practice. My psychology degree however, incorporates an entire course dedicated to this subject called Interpersonal Skills, constantly assessing each individual on their ability to transfer communication skills into real practice through assessed roleplay scenarios.
Professional Skills
Knowledge of Physical Education
I am very physically athletic hence providing me with valuable knowledge on health and how the body works though my selected high school electives in Senior Physical Education and Recreational Studies. These electives have provided me with the knowledge of being able to present guidelines to an individual, group or community on staying healthy and understanding the different types of exercise. With this in mind, I can even allocate a tailored training program specifically designed for an individual's needs and/or desired physical outcomes.
Interpersonal Skills
As mentioned above I am currently undergoing my Bachelors degree in Psychological Science. The most notable and instantly applicable course of this degree being my Interpersonal Skills class. This class not only provides very in depth ways of communication towards others using 3 major modules on 1st, 2nd and 3rd person skills, but has also emphasized for us to un-learn some of the ways we may have been communicating with others in order to establish maximum effectiveness when communicating.
Instantly applicable knowledge gained from this course can be mentioned, such as, the 5 conflict styles and interdependency. The 5 conflict management styles include:
1. Avoiding
2. Accommodating
3. Compromising
4. Competing
5. Collaborating
These 5 styles were then gone much more into depth on when to use each style, how it's best used, and identifiying what style someone is using. This can prove to be extremly useful in circumstances such as persuasion as well as successful conflict management.
This is just a small sample of a large range of knowledge and skills attained that this course has provided to me, supplying very valuable knowledge that could be used to successfully communicate, resulting in desired outcomes for my employer's business and adding value to their company.
